A few others are more rough than even these so I won't bother posting them. I had one about Awakening and power levels (lol) but I'd rather finish up one I had which was a historical look at why Baharuth split from Re Estize or the subtle implications of NPC and how the guild has influenced them. I doubt these will get released in this state anyway.
Maybe these can inspire you to think about stuff you didn't think about before. Or at the very least distract you from the content drought.

I've always thought it was an interesting theory myself as well, since I never considered he would use Tabula's form as a test of sorts because of various factors like being out of the loop.
Well there are theories about other Players. There's good ole Rape King, who is supposedly the founder of the Elven royalty. Other people think one of the Greed Kings is still alive due to how Maruyama labelign them TOP SECRET in his notes.
I think it would be funny if Ainz never found out they were Players and he's only told they were somewhat strong. Well, Maruyama has always considered Players threats and trump cards for the story, so maybe that's what will be in the final volume?
I have my own thoughts on using Players in Overlord fiction, but it's complicated because if you want to write like Maruyama you can't do it like other stories (they meet and get along, compete, etc) because Maru doesn't follow normal LN conventions but instead a weird hybrid writing formula outside the genre.
Being one part TRPG/RPG spoof, one part fantasy trope spoof, and one part things taken to their logical and extreme conclusion.
I like to use the Theocracy as a good example fo this. Consider the Black Scripture relics.
In terms of TRPG reference, the "holy" relics of their "gods" are really just dumb over designed and over powered MMO gear. For fantasy though, mysterious weapons of unknown origin are typically portrayed as absurdly strong and never have their origns explained. But taking both these codified facets of this concept, Maruyama put them down and naturally the nation instead of hoarding them and never using them gave some to their strongest people and are very protective of them.
When Maruyama subverts RPG or Fantasy tropes that is often due to this third facet, of being bound by actual rules to some extent or pragmaticism, say Climb will never become the hero he would be in other fiction due to how the New World works. The perfect princess Renner is another, who in fantasy is the cliche and perfect good girl that is naiive, but we see she's actually a manipulative and insincere person using that facade for ulterior motives. So those really story book or exaggerated aspects of either fantasy or RPG get subverted with rational thought or explanations for why these things exist.
So I think of different Players in this lens. So someone big and strong who has always ruled an area could be a Player since Maruyama uses isekai to explain the origin of fantasy and RPG tropes like this. At the very least it works for the Great Gods and Greed Kings and their role in the world. Even Ainz plays perfectly into this as well as Leader-kun of the 13 Heroes.
A subset of people thus think the Elven Kign will be such a Player to explain his big dumb tower, his view of the other elves as fodder, why he was never assassinated by the Theocracy, those impossible odds Zesshi was born with, and how he kept Zesshi's mother captured. Other people just think he may just be related to a Player instead or a unique New World type of elf though.
I'm not sure if Maruyaam will go for a Player encounter though or not. Some people think it will end with the whole Albedo and Rubedo situation blowing up instead.
No matter which way it conclude, I'm glad you found that article interesting.

Calender Notes

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1lT4C4rWwy4YfkbbbEnADFb_uBCevey5ZiNEdGQ3ERzQ/edit

Incomplete List of things Ainz references and botches slightly

1.) Bible quote Volume 4
友のために自分の命を捨てること、これ以上に大きな愛はない
Loose Ziggy translation from raw: To give one's life for the sake of their friends, there isn't a greater love than this.
The main thing is Ainz uses Tomo not Tomodachi or tomoyo so his version is VERY INFORMAL compared to how a Japanese bible quote should be written. It's like Ainz said: "There is no greater love than to give one's life for the sake of one's homies"
It's a very minor thing but I hope it illustrates how Ainz botches things in a very subtle way and he's mostly right or completely wrong sometimes due to this.
The exact quote is: "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."-John 15:13
We see Ainz is fairly close but weird bible language easily explains that.
2.) An iron handed dictatorship is great.
This one is a pun Ainz misremembers from his garbage language of Japanese. Basically, Tetsu is iron. If you've watched Gundam IBO you know this with the title and shizzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Well in Japan there are two tetsus because SHIT CHANGES WITH KANJI/KANA/MOON RUNES. sigh. Well it's:
鉄人 VS 哲人
That 人 is man or human. Sebas has his race written as Dragon 人 or Godkin is written God 人. So this is a very common character you don't need to worry about much. The main thing is 鉄 and 哲. The first is metal Tetsu, the one you know. Together it means something like a dictator or with tight control over anything like perfect Prince guy who controls everything. The second is Tetsu too!!!!! Isn't Japanese great!? Well this Tetsu means Sage so a WISE LEADER is the thing Ainz is referencing. But he only heard the saying and never read it. So he mistook an iron handed dictator for what is supposed to be a wise one. That's the joke lost in translation.
If Ziggy 4 Kidz localized this for you plebs imagine Ainz heard the phrase: "A cool minded leader is great." But he requotes it as "A cold hearted leader is great." I think that sort of explains whats going on here for you lot. It's kind of different but daz wha happun when you come from a symbol based language rather than a whatever the fuck you want to call English language.
3.) In a strategy game if you occupy enemy land the partizans come out.
Ainz obviously mistakes partizans the weapon for partisans the different factions. Demiurge said basically
4.) You have to begin with the shell.
Maru's Raw: 貝より始めよ kai yori hajimeyo The real saying: 隗より始めよ mazukai yori hajimeyo or kai yori hajimeyo
貝 Vs 隗
It's basically the real saying is you start with the first step. Ainz's version is almost the same except he uses shell instead. So it's like when Shrek was talking about himself being multifaceted but uses an Onion. The joke is it's kind of a weird and different way to say what he's trying to say.
Volume 10
So based on the dumb Engrish I put, you can see Ainz botches his Japanese again. He uses the wrong Kai basically.
5.) Nash thing
Nigel explained this pretty well for you all.
Nigel TL: Punitto Moe once said something about Mr. Nash and prisoner’s conditions and something along those lines, but the gist of it was, if opportunities were unlimited, cooperation would reap the greatest benefits for all parties involved.
If you don't know what the Prisoner's Dilemma is, if you snitch and the other guy doesn't you get the best outcome for yourself. But if you both don't snitch it's better in general and if you both snitch you both get it bad.
If you snitch and the other guy doesn't you go free and he gets three years.
If you both snitch you both get two years.
If you both don't snitch you both get 1 year.
So overall, you all serve less time if you go down together silently or cooperate. If you turn on each other, then more time is served in prison.
Ainz is wrong because it's not a better opportunity for everyone individually. You better snitch or not cooperate to get the best outcome for yourself. What the prisoner's dilemma shows is that if you work together the outcomes are not as bad as if you are betrayed but not as good as betraying. Cooperating is just a way to minimized risk in a system way and not in the way Ainz thinks. It is a subtlety like how Averages work in reality vs the hypothetical?
6.) Bone meat thing
Maru: 肉を切ったら……骨が出た? Real Saying: 肉を切らせて骨を断つ。
When you cut the meat...... you saw bone?
The saying is pretty close to what Ainz said. But it's one of those things where he didn't get the REAL WOKE meaning of the phrase. Instead he only knows the literal meaning of the phrase. So the saying is literally "Let your foe cut your flesh to sever their bone" it's like eye for an arm sort of thing if that makes sense? IIRC in Samurai Champloo it's this phrase that is Jin's ultimate technique, to take a hit form the enemy to deal a fatal hit to them in response. Ain't that cool? That's exactly how you're SUPPOSED to use the phrase. But Ainz is only thinking of terms of meat and bone.
7.) Even if an idiot stops thinking things are the same Volume 11
Nigel: Could it be that idiots can’t find the answer no matter how much they think?
This is Ainz phrasing another Japanese only saying wrong.
下手の考え休むに似たりの別の言い方
What the fuq does this mean Ziggy? Well think of it like "yo niggah don't think feel" kupo.
...
.......
Okay maybe not that kek. It's more like " A shitty idea is sometimes worse than no idea" This may seem weird to you Westerners but in Japan you DON'T act like you know anything. Go read Japanese interviews and how they seem wishy washy. That's how you show you are an adult. They make fun of know it alls actually, well unless you are actually legit real smart and a Professor. Then they don't challenge you at all sort of. Nips like to use this phrase about Mao and how he starved his people to death. you know, since that Anti-Chinese racism even invades your safe places of 2chan well 5chan now. Dictionaries have it listed as "Poor thinking is futile " but literally it's "An idiot is hard to tell from someone sleeping" which is one of those sick Japanese indirect burns. Them Nips are great at passive aggressive roasting people. It's better to think of it as "An idiot may as well be sleeping." is the best way to think of it's REAL WOKE meaning though. Ainz's version of this doesn't get the that sick roast part of it so he didn't really quite get it... this is a trend with Ainz hur hur. You probably got a minor idea at least.
That make sense?

Types of Beings

https://pastebin.com/fnF1UXEh

Overview
In Overlord, there are slightly different rules for various mechanics based on the "type" of being a person is while in the New World. This page hopes to better convey this minute detail in the setting.

 Players
NOT Affected by Karma Ratings when making decisions. [1]
 Racial Characteristics Warp Original personality [2] [3] [4] [5]
Unable to do things that required a class in YGGDRASIL. [6]
Player resurrection consumes levels. [7] [8]
 Players can reject resurrection [9]
Cannot use New World only Magic [10]
Abilities that require a PK, that is a dead Player do not work on New Worlders but on other Players still. [11]
Can Breed Volume 6 Chapter 10: "Could he be a God-kin?"
The offspring of the beings known as ”Players” were people who might awaken
incredible power from within themselves. The Slaine Theocracy called these
people demigods. Or, more precisely, they were the ones who carried the
bloodline of the Six Gods within their veins. If they had the blood of others,
they would be termed differently.
It seemed very likely that this Momon was of the bloodline of a "Player".
Or rather, it would be better to say that no human could have possessed such
power.

 NPCs
Affected by Karma Ratings when making decisions. [12]
Cannot learn earn new classes or level up. [13]
Flavor Text or settings written in the description of NPCs manifests in the New World. [14]
If Flavor Text or settings are not too detailed, NPCs inherit traits or relationships from their creators. [15] [16] [17] [18] [19] [20] [21] [22]
Need specific classes to do things that required classes in YGGDRASIL. Conversely they can do things that YGGDARSIL had no classes for with no restrictions and in fact Flavor Text can influence these traits. [23] [24] [25] [26] [27]
When resurrected, they do not have a decrease in levels
At the time of resurrection they come back the same age minus a few days. [28] [29]
Level has influence on how loyal an NPC is to a guild member? [30]  [31] [32] [33] [34] [35]
 A hieararchy of loyalty exists that goes Creator/Summoner > Guild Master > Other Guild Members > NPCs [36] [37] [38] [39]
Unable to learn Martial Arts or unable to reach MAX level? [40]
 Affected by racial penalties [41]

 Summons
Summoned Monsters Cannot use abilities to summon creatures. [42]
Affected by Flavor Text or Racial traits? [43]
Have mythological flavor text that affects them in the New World?  [44]
Mount Summons unsummon if a non-summoner rides them. [45]
Cannot Level Up or gain new skills or Martial Arts [46]
If they can be revived, they can lose levels, but never surpass their level cap [47]
Unknown if Summoned monsters can breed. [48]
Summons aren't YGGDRASIL or New World beings, but hybrids that do not age even if they should. [49]
Can wear equipment they aren't summoned with. [50]  [51] [52]
Cannot do things that required a class in YGGDRASIL. [53]
[54]
Summons can be strengthened by related classes from the summoner. Ex. A mount summon is improved by Rider skills. Undead summons are improved by Necromancer skills. [55][56][57] [58]

 Vassals (Mercenary Monsters)
Loyalty to Summoner foremost, then guild members?, then NPCs. [59] [60]
 Cannot Breed [61]
Created Monsters can use abilities to summon creatures? [62]
Mercenary mounts allow a rider other than the summoner. [63] [64]
Some Mercenary monsters require food and drink. [65]

 New Worlders
Karma Rating affects decision making [66]
Can learn magic that didn't exist in YGGDRASIL [67]
Don't count as "Players" for YGGDRASIL abilities and resurrection magic [68] [69] [70] [71]
Can do things even if they do not have the class for it [72] [73]
New Worlders have level limits [74] [75] [76]
Classes that require a certain level can be acquired at lower levels but unknown if other requirements still needed [77] [78] [79] [80]
Bloodline is linked to level cap? [81] [82]
[83] [84] [85] [86] [87] [88] [89] [90] [91] [92]
Ignoring Bloodline, the chance of being strong for humans has very low percentages. [93]
Armor penalties for New Worlders? [94]
New Worlders learn magic differently [95] [96] [97]

 Conclusions
New Worlders seemed to be flagged as non-Players by Tier Magic and YGGDRASIL game systems due to the ash mechanic. The fact they do not count for PKing supports this.

Citation Needed: Hamusuke and armor penalties came up somewhere but I forget where.

↑ Volume 3 Author Thoughts: The rest isn’t shown but it’s a gentle spot, once you have gained his favor he is surprisingly gentle. Karma values largely influence fundamental courses of action, Ainz’s case is an exception. Therefore he can make use of his gentleness
↑ Volume 1: Ainz had once been a human being, and now he was undead. From just now, he had sensed that Albedo hated humans very much. However, it did not upset him or make him feel depressed.
↑ Arcadia: If his old friends were to come, and to dissuade Ainz his whole policy would change. He has the potential to become a champion of justice however, there’s a feeling he’s been warped into a dreadful monster.
↑ Arcadia: It is considerably easy for Ainz to become enraged. His soul [mind OR spirit; seishin] has been warped.
↑ Volume 9 Chapter 4: Suddenly, Ainz knotted his nonexistent brows. Many people were about to die, but he did not feel any pity for them, and it
somewhat frightened him. He did not even feel cruel, like someone trampling
ants to death. In truth — in truth, he felt nothing at all. There was only the desire to see the results of his actions. And of course, the benefits he would reap for himself — for the Great Underground Tomb of Nazarick.
↑ Volume 1 Chapter 3: That was what confused Momonga. Although the realistic NPCs made him think he was no longer in a game, the annoying sensation that bound his body made him feel otherwise.
In YGGDRASIL, Momonga had no levels in warrior classes, and so he should not
have been able to use a greatsword. However, if this new world was reality, it only made sense that he should have been able to wield it.
↑ Arcadia 3122: Q: [Each time the Eight Greed King’s died they would weaken means supena. That means those 8 people were upper and lower Players. That means as Ainz dies he would revive in his strong hold with his ring with no penalty which seems like cheating. You didn’t say the dragons won so where did Eight Greed Kings go? ]
A:It was a cash shop item. It’s a weaker version of what Ainz holds. By the
way, each time they die the item’s value drops lower!
↑ Web Novel Chapter 87: And the Eight Greed Kings had magic that allowed them to revive after death. However, the Eight Greed Kings grew weaker every time they revived. If they banded together they might have won. But that did not happen.
↑ Volume 7 Intermission: "It can’t be helped. He …killed a comrade (Player) he had spent his journey with, and it got to him. I can understand why he’d decline the resurrection. Rigrit, you were shocked too, right?"
The old lady looked into the distance, and she slowly nodded with a pained
expression on her face.
"Aye, yes …it’s true …you’re right."
↑ Blog: By the way this (Tier 0) is a Tier that did not exist in YGGDRASIL, so not even Ainz can make use of this domain.
↑ Blog: Q: 2.) [Ainz] seemed to have learned 318 spells from PKing in YGGDRASIL
and performing a special ceremony, but is that ceremony possible in the
NW? A: 2.) He can do [the ceremony] but he has to PK. It’d be impossible/unreasonable
if he could do it on ordinary people right?
↑ Volume 3 Author Thoughts: The rest isn’t shown but it’s a gentle spot, once you have gained his favor he is surprisingly gentle. Karma values largely influence fundamental courses of action, Ainz’s case is an exception. Therefore he can make use of his gentleness
↑ Volume 4 Chapter CITATION NEEDED:     When Ainz had returned to Nazarick earlier, he had asked one of the maids to cook something — a steak. Perhaps she might need practice when it came to the doneness and other major points of the meal, but Ainz did not have such high expectations of the steak. Neither did he want food which granted bonuses, like food in YGGDRASIL. All he wanted was something edible. However, the result could only be described as a lump of charcoal. No matter how often that maid practiced, she could only make chunks of charred meat. Ainz had accepted that outcome as he accepted the maid’s heartfelt apologies. After all, it was the same as him trying to equip the greatsword in his wardrobe. In YGGDRASIL, one needed specialized skills to make food. It was only to be expected, since food and drink could grant special bonuses when consumed. However, that maid did not possess such skills. In other words, if one lacked the proper skills to perform a task, it would end in failure. The matter of Cocytus was also an experiment of sorts. Ainz wanted to see if finalized characters like himself and the NPCs could learn anything new. This experiment was designed to see if they could grow strong by learning tactics and strategy. He had given Cocytus command over the weak undead because he felt that he would be able to learn more from their defeat. In the end, Ainz had been pleased with the results. Cocytus had shown Ainz that he had the possibility for growth.
↑ Arcadia 2459: Pestonya’s gentleness exists in her settings. Because the 41 Supreme Beings made her gentle, she is pardoned, for Sebas it differs.
↑ Arcadia 2583: The blank sheet parts of characters is influenced by their creator. It means the character whose setting is written does not have room to show their creator’s personality. That why Shalltear is not affected by hers.↑ Arcadia 2583: Shalltear has excessively fine settings, there was no space for Peroroncino’s personality to manifest.↑ Arcadia 2583: Largely, as a blank-slate character, the number one most influenced by their creator is Sebas. Shalltear and Demiurge are the most uninfluenced? In Demiurge’s case his character settings is solid [OR—fully realized].
↑ Arcadia 2583: No, only the blank slate sections are affected. The character will be cruel if their settings say they are cruel.↑ Arcadia 2583: The blank part of the character was influenced by the creator. In other words, the character is not affected if their settings firmly written. That is why Shalltear is not influenced.
↑ Arcadia 2336: Demiurge’s setting was written to be almost
omnipotent [OR all purpose].
↑ Arcadia 2256: However, strategy and political aspects are not expressed in Yggdrasil, so they can grow in the early stages. Demiurge is written almost universally with such settings. Well, Ainz does not know that though.
↑ Arcadia CITATION NEEDED:  Well, Shalltear’s breast pads were not a preference of Peroroncino, and instead a strange incident. Peroroncino liked small breasts and requested it of the illustrator, and when it was finished she had a chest. Therefore, he put in her settings she used pads... like this was the result for the setting.↑ Volume 4: When Ainz had returned to Nazarick earlier, he had asked one of the maids
to cook something — a steak. Perhaps she might need practice when it came
to the doneness and other major points of the meal, but Ainz did not have
such high expectations of the steak. Neither did he want food which granted
bonuses, like food in YGGDRASIL. All he wanted was something edible.
However, the result could only be described as a lump of charcoal.
No matter how often that maid practiced, she could only make chunks of charred
meat. Ainz had accepted that outcome as he accepted the maid’s heartfelt apologies. After all, it was the same as him trying to equip the greatsword in his
wardrobe.
↑ Blog Q&A: Q:
Although Ainz cannot equip Warrior Job weapons and the maids cannot cook
so their game settings are shown [in not being able to do things they have no
classes for]. Demiurge made a throne for Ainz though. Is that not okay unless
he has crafting classes?
A:
Tasks can be done as usual for Jobs not in YGGDRASIL. For example, because
YGGDRASIL had a class called Weapon-smith, Demiurge cannot make weapons.
Armor is the same. Yet, there was no Furniture Craftsmen system Job, so he
can make it like normal. Nevertheless, Demiurge has exceeded do-it-yourself
carpentry, maa Ulbert is at fault.
↑ Arcadia: The plug was one gag I made for Shalltear. It’s a R-18 item, however in fact in YGGDRASIL those items did not exist neither did a skill to make them, but Shalltear can make them. So she can make reverse clothes lol[Arcadia]
↑ Anime Data Book: In addition, her feminine skills – particularly those pertaining to being a housewife – are excellent, and during her free time, she can be seen sweeping, sewing, and so on.↑ Volume 2 Intermission: "That must be …a hug pillow …who made it?"
"I did."
Demiurge’s nearly-closed eyes widened slightly as he heard Albedo’s prompt
reply. He had not expected her to be possessed of such skills.
"Be it cleaning, washing clothes, or sewing, I possess all these skills at a professional
level." Elated by Demiurge’s surprise, Albedo continued showing off in a self-satisfied
tone: "I’ve already made socks and clothes for our future baby, up through the age
of five."
↑ Volume 3 Chapter 5: "...Sorry. Shalltear, tell me the last thing you remember."
Shalltear’s most recent memory was five days ago. She had no impression of
what had happened after that, until now. Of course, the resurrection process might be such that NPCs lost their memories of the past few days. Alternately, perhaps several people might have gathered to do it. He lacked information at the present moment, so he could not solve that mystery.
↑ Twitter:  Q: If Aura died at age 500... but! Like before Ainz uses the money of Nazarick! And Aura is revived! What age would the revived Aura be??? 500 or 76???
A:500 minus a couple of days↑ Arcadia: Q:I can feel how the maid force loves Ainz-sama lol
A: Higher levels have stronger degrees of loyalty, although there are exceptions. Based off the general maids power their loyalty is  low.
↑ Volume 8 Story 2: After calculating the working days for the maids, the announcement that they would have a break every 41 days was met with complaints. It was not that there were too few days off, but the opposite. They requested that the day off be cancelled. Ultimately, working for the Supreme Beings was the reason for their existence. Telling them that they did not have to work damaged their sense of self-worth and made them feel like they were no longer needed. As such, the maids decided to discuss the matter with Ainz. They said,"Please don’t take our jobs", "We want to do it all day and night", and so on. Yet, the maids adamantly refused to back down. Faced with their tears, Ainz gave in and proposed a new type of work for them. They would have to personally serve Ainz. That task entailed staying by Ainz’s side to attend to his every need and whim, and the maids would take turns filling that role?
↑ Volume 13 Chapter 5: That was why he had ordered Demiurge to command the Evil Lord to kill Ainz. He would defeat this powerful foe who wanted to kill him, and strengthen himself. That had been easier said than done. The two of them had been strongly opposed to the idea and persuading them had taken a lot of time. One could not fault a mentally exhausted Ainz from thinking, "I thought we agreed that my
word was law..." In the end, after countless concessions and conditions, the stage had been set for this live battle.
↑ Volume 3 Chapter 4: Once he saw that Albedo was not going to continue, the visibly displeased Demiurge cut loose: "This is naive. This is irrational. You’re just making decisions based on your feelings. Ainz-sama is the final Supreme Being who remained here. Once we know his life is in danger, it is our duty to eliminate that danger. Even if we are rebuked for it, even if we should perish by doing so, we should still take action, should we not?"
↑ Volume 6 Chapter 7: I wish to demonstrate the usefulness of the Guardians to Ainz-sama through the success of this operation. What value did foolish subordinates who could not satisfy their master possess? And then, if their master were thoroughly disappointed by his pathetic minions, would even the last remaining Supreme Being vanish as well? Even someone like Demiurge felt his body run cold with fear as he contemplated that possibility. We must not fail. In addition, we must succeed brilliantly enough to erase our past mistakes.
↑ Volume 11 Chapter 1: Ainz was somewhat startled because the response had come from an unexpected
quarter, but he coolly turned to face Decrement.
"What is it? Is something the matter?"
"Ah, I was wondering how you would feel about bringing some of us maids
along to serve as your attendants during your trip to the Dwarven Kingdom.
Traditionally speaking, those in power have always brought followers with
them to handle miscellaneous tasks. I feel that the Dwarven Kingdom will
think poorly of you if you do not bring handmaidens with you, Ainz-sama."
"Is that so. —Decrement, your proposal is very reasonable. However, it contains
a problem, in that you are weak and I am uneasy about your safety when
travelling into unknown lands."
"We are all prepared to face any form of danger!"
Ainz raised a hand to calm Decrement down.
"I am pleased by the loyalty which you — which you all show. Therefore, once
I ensure that the Dwarven Kingdom is safe, I shall send for you via teleportation.
Until then, what do you think about handing the matter to the Vampire
Brides?"
Decrement’s mouth moved several times, but no words came out. Eventually,
she bowed her head. Ainz hoped that she was not agreeing because he had
ordered her to, but that was most likely not the case.↑ Volume 5 Chapter 3: His loyalty was genuine. He could confidently say that he would gladly throw his life away in service to the Supreme One. However …if, hypothetically speaking, he had to choose only one of the 41
Supreme Beings to obey, Sebas would pick the man called Touch Me without
hesitation. ↑ Volume 3 Chapter 5: Shalltear Bloodfallen was a Floor Guardian of Nazarick, set over the First to
Third Floors. At the same time, she was a loyal subordinate made by the
Supreme Being Peroroncino. That being the case, was it not bizarre that she
would be fighting Ainz Ooal Gown, who was formerly known as Momonga? Why was she doing battle with Ainz-sama, who was another member of the Forty One Supreme Beings? If her creator had so ordered, she would obey and fight with all her strength. Even if all of Nazarick were her enemies, she would charge at them without a moment’s hesitation. Yet, this was not the case.↑ Volume 3 Chapter 4: "I have an important question for you. I am your creator, and the one you are loyal to, right?"
"Indubitably so, Ainz-sama! For as I was made by you, if you desire me to do battle with the other Supreme Beings, I shall charge into the fray without hesitation!"
↑ Arcadia: Q:do they pay greater respect to their creator or have they changed to embrace larger loyalty toward Ainz?
A: The order of the all the NPCs loyalty is one’s personal creator > Momonga (the guild master) > all the other 41 Supreme Beings.
↑ Twitter: Q: If Pleiades reach MAX level would they be able to use Martial Arts?
A: [By a] general rule/principle that’s impossible. Or perhaps I should say....
↑ Volume 8 Story 2: Slowly but steadily, they
transferred the mountains of food — far in excess of what a normal girl would
consume — from their plates into their bellies. It was because they all possessed
increased appetites, as a racial penalty.
↑ Volume 13 Chapter 5: Of all the special abilities that Evil Lords possessed, the most dangerous one was the ability to summon another Evil Lord which was lower level than themselves. However, summoned monsters could not in turn summon more monsters.
Therefore, the Evil Lord of Wrath that Demiurge had summoned could
not summon another Evil Lord. If this Evil Lord had been created or made, then it could summon additional other creatures. For instance, the Evil Lord of Sloth would often summon pack after pack of demons and undead, making them very hard to deal with.
↑ Volume 1 Chapter 3: "Exterminate all the knights who are attacking this village."
"OOOOOOOAAAAHHHHHHH!"it roared.
So mighty was its cry that it shook the air, and it was so filled with bloodlust
that everyone who heard it broke out in goosebumps.
The Death Knight ran, fast as lightning. The way it charged forward without
hesitation was like a hunting hound that had scented its quarry. The undead
creature’s hatred for the living made it sensitive to the prey that it would soon
slaughter. "GUWOOOOOOOOOOHHH!" the blood-covered Death Knight roared as it swung its sword. It was a roar of joy. The look of delight was unmistakeable, even on its rotted face. As an overwhelmingly superior slaughterer, it savored the despair and terror of the pitiful humans who could not even survive a single one of its blows.
↑ Volume 8 Story 2: Albedo lightly patted the flank of the magical beast. Perhaps she had used too much force, but the Bicorn shuddered. Albedo mounted up on it with a grace that did not seem like it
had come from someone wearing armor. The moment she touched the saddle,
she could feel the Bicorn’s body quivering through the point of contact.
"What’s wrong?!"
Just then, the Bicorn began to wobble. It looked like it could no longer stand
up. The two of them looked at it and realized that there was something abnormal
going on here. The wobbling Bicorn promptly collapsed. It was panting heavily and its coat was covered in a fine sheen of sweat.
Albedo could not help exclaiming. She could not think of any reason why this
level 100 Bicorn would be unsteady on its feet. Suddenly, she recalled what
had happened when she had patted the Bicorn.Could it be that some problem
had occurred then? If that were the case, then what was the cause? This was because the Encyclopedia recorded the visual data of all the monsters a player had ever encountered. However, it did not display statistics — the monsters’ ability scores — but only its typical appearance and name. If it was a monster from mythology, it would also display the relevant contents from the myth in question and other relevant information.
"...a mutant species of Unicorn. Just as Unicorns are supposed to be associated
with purity, Bicorns are associated with impurity. Unicorns will only allow pure maidens to ride them, but conversely, Bicorns will never allow pure maidenss to ride them …haaah?!"
↑ Volume 8 Story 2: "I’m sorry, but it won’t work. This is my mount, and nobody else can ride it. If anyone tries, it’ll automatically unsummon itself."↑ Volume 10 Chapter 1: He had conducted an experiment in learning martial arts while Hamsuke was
training to be a warrior. In other words, he used this Death Knight to see if it
could continue gaining levels as a warrior. He had equipped the Death Knight with artifacts that increased XP gain but that would greatly weaken it. However, in the end the Death Knight did not gain any levels. Ainz had anticipated that outcome, so he was not angry. Still, for some reason, Hamsuke had been going on and on about the Death Knight, so in the end, he took back the artifacts and left the Death Knight with her.
↑ Blog Q&A: Q: On Arcadia it was said that the Leader of the Goblins summoned by Enri was Lv. 12[.....]Are beings summoned by magical items set with fixed levels?
Or can the Lv. 8 Goblin Soldiers and Lv. 10 Goblin Mage raise their
level to Lv. 12? Or are beings summoned by magical items fixed and the
undead summoned by Ainz and other special skills have fixed levels, so
their level cannot raise?
A: The former is true. The limit of the character’s level is fixed. It can lower
with death as a penalty but it can never rise even if they gain more experience
[past the limit].
↑ Blog Q&A: But can summoned
beings like Enri’s goblins breed? I am afraid of Kyouhukou’s summons spreading, so I hope you would make it impossible for them to breed. A: 3.) [For] summoned servants I’ll think about it privately [if] attempting to is impossible. It isn’t [possible] in the case for summoned servants that use gold coins and so on.↑ Arcadia: First of all„ the Goblins [summoned by Enri] are not existences of the New World or Yggdrasil. It is an existence that applies the basis (Yggdrasil data) to the idea (essence ) born as a seed from the New World’s Goblins.
There is no life expectancy, and is more like a semi-permanent vision that
does not grow. However, because it is summoned as a living thing mysteriously,
it is necessary for it to eat and sleep etc. That’s why if it dies, the body can’t be recovered. The summon copies the thoughts and memories of the summoner. All magical summons do this. If not, during a battle where it is summoned to support a companion, it willl have to be individually ordered to "There is a pitfall there, that’s a
mosnter, that’s an ally, and attack that enemy."If that is not done, then
battles would become difficult. That’s why the memory was copied. Their
loyalty is unbiased and will not change. The reason is a kind of empathy
is born, like a copy of a memory. One’s right hand does not fight with their
brain, and since summons have that same exact empathy there is almost
no way to treat a summoned monster badly. There are exceptions though
like those into hurting themselves.
↑ Volume 10 Chapter 1: He had equipped the Death Knight with artifacts that increased XP gain but that would greatly weaken it.
↑ Volume 8 Story 1: "Umm, ahem! Speaking of which, Jugemu-san, can you use that magic sword well? I heard it’s not like normal swords, and using it is tiring."
The greatsword which Jugemu was holding had been obtained in the raid several
days ago.
"I’ve gotten used to the sword’s weight and center of gravity, so I can use it
as well as my old sword. Its sharpness and so on are much better than the
other one, but that’s a magic weapon for you. However …the poison in here, it
weakens the people it cuts, but it’s a bit strange …"
↑ Volume 8 Story 2: "But doesn’t that mean you’ll be wasting your resources on it? It’ll be a big
hassle in combat, right? Why not power it up by changing its gear? I hear
mount-type monsters can be equipped with barding and horseshoes and so
on."
"Indeed. You can change the equipment of mounts summoned through skills.
It’s related to the question asked just now, Aura; for instance, I could equip
it with horseshoes that grant flight, and it would be able to fly. However, I’ve
already given it magic items to boost its speed …it really is a tough decision." ↑ Volume 8 Story 1: But they can’t cook …Why is that?
Goblins could not prepare even the simplest meals. Since they ate raw meat and vegetables without a complaint, she thought they might like raw food more, but it became clear that they preferred cooked meals — although they could still stomach raw food without trouble. Is it because summoned beings don’t know how to cook?
↑ Volume 8 Story 1: Logically speaking, there was no need for Enri to go herself. All she needed to do was to ask the Goblins, who could take care of themselves, to go into the dangerous Great Forest on her behalf. However, the Goblins she had summoned had a strange weakness. That was to say, they had no aptitude at all for herb-picking, butchering animals, and that sort of work. Just like how they handled cooking, even if one handed Goblins a sample of a herb, they would not be able to match it up with identical herb in front of them. The surprising thing was, it was as though they were born unable to do that sort of thing, or even learn it, as if someone had removed the capacity to do so from them.↑ Volume 1 Chapter 2:And then there were the abilities from his class levels —Instant Death Magic Enhancement, Rite of Darkness, Undead Aura, Undead Creation, Undead Control, Undead Strengthening, and so on.
↑ Volume 4 Iguvua Character Sheet: Lv. 22 When he was just a monster(Starting level before his abilities were enhanced with special skills) Volume 4 Chapter 4: "I. Am. Deeply. Remorseful. For. My. Inability. To. Achieve. Victory. Even. After. Receiving. Command. Of. My. Own. Troops. And. For. The. Loss. Of.The. Elder. Lich. Commander. That. You. Personally. Made. Ainz-sama."
↑ Volumst 8 Story 2: "Looks like you can’t really strengthen your mount without rider-type skills"↑ Volume 10 Chapter 1: Although Ainz’s karma value was extremely negative, he would not have a problem summoning angels, whose karma values were highly positive. There were some classes which had the penalty of not being able to summon monsters whose karma values were too different from their own, but Ainz did not have such classes. Incidentally, the monsters summoned by those classes got stronger the closer the monsters’ karma values were to their masters.
↑ Volume 13 Chapter 5: "...Hm? My apologies. I have another question that is unrelated to combat.
While that is Albedo’s order, if I were to tell you to abandon that order, who
would have priority?"
"Naturally, your words would have priority, Ainz-sama. However, I must sincerely
apologize that we will obey orders from our summoner, Anyami Shirabesama,
above all else."
↑ Volume 13 Chapter 5: In the absence of a direct order, vassals like Doppelgangers would obey the NPC in charge of them. In that case, what would happen if a certain NPC wanted to kill Ainz and gathered many high-level vassals and ordered them to attack Ainz with their strongest moves? Of course, this would be happening while Ainz was unable to detect or stop them.
Would they carry out that order? Or would they refuse orders like that?
"...You’re also ready to come at me like you want to kill me, is that it?"
"Yes. Those are the orders I have received, and I have determined that I also
have your permission, Ainz-sama."The Yuri-Doppelganger’s answer made Ainz wrinkle his – nonexistent – brows....Isn’t this dangerous? It’s probably best to see exactly where the boundary lies here. If even Ainz could think of this, then Albedo had most likely inspected it herself, Still, he ought to make sure, just in case. He could not let a safety loophole sit unfilled.
"...Indeed. I permit you to use your full abilities to kill me in this battle. Then
swear on the name of Ainz Ooal Gown once more. Can you swear that what
you said about your true identities just now was the truth?"
"Yes. This we do swear, upon the names of all the Supreme Beings."
Yuri and Lupusregina transformed their hands into alien-looking objects.

which had been summoned with in-game currency. Said beasts had cargo
harnesses on both sides, the kind that was commonly used in YGGDRASIL.
↑ Volume 11 Chapter 2: After commanding — or rather, asking — the magical beast that he rode, the creature obeyed and began moving. Since Zenberu had no experience in riding, Ainz had put him on one of Aura’s magical beasts, which could be controlled
by speech rather than technique.
↑ Volume 11 Chapter 2: The most
important thing was that their appearances belied their incredible mobility
and ability to operate for long periods without eating or drinking.
↑ Volume 3 Author Thoguhts: The rest isn’t shown but it’s a gentle spot, once you have gained his favor he is surprisingly gentle. Karma values largely influence fundamental courses of action, Ainz’s case is an exception. Therefore he can make use of his gentleness.
↑ Volume 1 Chapter 2: According to YGGDRASIL’s rules, death would cost a character five levels and
force him to drop one of his equipped items. In other words, characters below
level five would immediately disappear. Players were specially exempt from
this and would not vanish, but they would be reduced to the minimum level
of one. Therefore, it must be an issue with the game rules.
Using spells like[Resurrection]or[Raise Dead] would mitigate this level loss.
In addition, with the use of cash items, one would only lose a bit of experience.
↑ Volume 6 Chapter 10: The spell Lakyus cast was the 5th-tier spell [Raise Dead]. The process of resurrection drained tremendous amounts of life force. Iron-ranked adventurers and below would be reduced to ash without fail if it was cast on them.
↑ Volume 2 Chapter 4: There was a resurrection spell in the fifth tier of divine magic, but that spell could not resurrect his mother. Resurrection expended a tremendous amount of life force on the part of the dead person, and the deceased who lacked sufficient life force would not be resurrected, but reduced to ash and dust. His mother did not have the necessary vitality.
↑ Enri Emmot rose before the sun came up to make breakfast. She was not as good a cook as her deceased mother, and there was a lot of food to prepare. Counting Nemu, Enri herself and the nineteen Goblins loyal to her, she had to make breakfast for twenty-one people. Cooking for two more on top of those would make twenty-three in total. Preparing that much food was a lot of work, and could be considered a battle in its own right. Enri trembled while looking at the vast quantity of food in front of her and realised that it would all be gone in one meal.
↑ Volume 8 Enri Character Sheet: Farmer Lv. 1 Sergeant Lv. 1 Commander Lv. 2 General Lv. 2↑ Blog: In short let us consider a Legend[densetsu]-class Farmer. Their Farmer Job Level is 10, Master Farmer Job Level is 10, and Fighter Job Level is 6. ...well it’s a difference in combat ability. These General classes contribute to the Level Limit as well. If the Level Limit [Lv. cap] is 20 Levels for a person, and they have 10 Levels in  the Farmer Job class. It can be calculated that they can acquire only 10 more Levels.

Maa, he has reached his growth limit [seichou genkai].
↑ Volume 6 Chapter 9: Entoma grew cautious for the first time. The manwoman — Gagaran — was nothing to fear. The problem was the newcomer — Tia. If her clothes were not just for looks, then she ought to be a ninja. That was a job class which required a minimum character level of 60 to take.↑ Volume 6 Tia and Tina Character Sheet: Ninja Lv. ? ↑ Volume 2 Chapter 2: Cursed Knights had the backstory of being corrupted cleric-knights who had
been cursed, and they were considered to be a very strong class in YGGDRASIL.However, they had a lot of drawbacks, so they were not very popular. Among the skills Cursed Knights could learn was the ability to release waves of darkness, inflict cursed wounds which could not be healed by low level healing spells, instant death curses, and so on. Ainz narrowed his illusory eyes under his helmet. This was not a coincidence. While the Swords of Darkness might be weapons with powers similar to those of a Cursed Knight, it was more likely that the hero himself was a Cursed Knight. If that were the case, when one considered the prerequisites to become a Cursed Knight, it was certain that this ”Black Knight” was at least level sixty no, if one considered that he had to actually learn all those skills as well, he would have to be at least level seventy.↑ Volume 10 Leinas Character Sheet: Cursed Knight Lv. ?
↑ Volume 11 Author Thoughts: Gondo: A person from a continually excellent bloodline [for generations] who was born without talent or ability, as runes declined it would not have been strange to walk on another path, but he could not do so. I’d be happy if you bear in mind he was desperately trying to hold a Job that [required?] character data.↑ Volume 5: "Should we talk to Azuth for safety’s sake?"
"I’m not too happy about asking a rival for help, but …well, she is his niece, so
we should let him know, at least."
"Hm, then shouldn’t we do that right away? We still need to track him down too."
"Mm. We should just prepare ourselves to back Lakyus up at any time."
"After all, it takes an adamantite-ranked adventurer to stop another."
 ...
"Yes, Aindra-sama."
"Aindra? Oh! ...Which Aindra is it? From Blue …or is it Red?"

↑ Volume 12 Chapter 1: The speaker was the Holy Queen, Calca Bessarez. The other quality was her excellence as a divine magic caster. ↑ WN Part 2 Evil Cult 2: The Slane Theocracy believed in beings called the 6 Great Gods [daijin], among some of the nation there are people who inherited[hiku] blood of the gods [which] was thick, or thin [kami no chi wokoi, usui]. Those kind of people

However that is only meant they inherited traits but did not surpass their ancestors, beings called Godkin [jinin] differed. Amongst all those descended from the Gods, those who awaken [mezameta] the power of the Gods [kami no ryoku] are called the term God-kin [jinin].
↑ Volume 4 Intermission: The Slaine Theocracy permitted the practice of polygamy as long as the nation sanctioned it. This was a practice which had been grandfathered from a time when bloodlines had to be kept pure due to a lack of powerful entities. However, under normal circumstances, the standard practice was one man to one woman, and there were only a few cases where national sanction had been granted. Even when it was granted, one man could only have two wives.
↑ Arcadia:  Q: I can’t tell if you can’t spell or have a weird accent lol Are Difficulty 60 vampires really so dangerous Shalltear had two of   them. A: You are such a stressful critic! The things I am ashamed about have increased by 1. It is not high to that extent. The highest peak of humans are 1 in 1 million and hold the ability of a Difficulty 70 being. Brain and Gazef are 1 in several million. Fluder is 1 in 10 million? That seems about appropriate.
↑ Volume 7 Chapter 3: Hamsuke had not been able to wear armor until now, because wearing armor
made it thoroughly uncomfortable and it could not move freely. Normal movement
and running were fine, but once it entered battle, it lost its balance when
swinging its tail, and it could not accurately strike its target with its tail. Therefore, it had taken the Lizardmen as its tutors, and trained as they directed.
↑ Web Novel Chapter 21: “Yes. I want to become like Ninya-san and use magic.”
“Oi oi. Magic is not a thing that you can learn in a day or two, Firstly it
seems that a guy that does not have a connection to the world can’t do
it, and those guys have latent geniuses hidden inside them. “It’s something different. Mah, if it is a magic caster better than me he
may be able to understand something. The highest magic casters are
able to detect their opponent’s magic ability better.”
“. . . . . .What does that mean?”
“Ah, we magic casters have something like a magic aura made by our
magic power, and it surrounds our body. The better one becomes at
magic, the ability to sense it also increases. That and controlling the
amount of magic power.”
“. . . . . . Heh”
Restraining his deepening voice, Momon replied with a not suspicious
normal voice. It seemed that Momon did not have that ability. He could
not feel anything of the sort from Ninya. No, was it possible to even feel
it? “Afterwards? Mah, you cannot proceed without a teacher, but afterwards
you should carve a contracted medium.” “A contracted medium?”
“Eh. A special medium which you have contracted with, and engraved
with special magic equations. You can use the magic from the your force
of will.”
“Is Ninya holding one?”
“Eh. Mine is a grimoire.”
He pointed at the bag he was carrying.
“. . . . . .Can that grimoire be used by anyone?”
“Ahaha. It’s impossible, Momon-san. The person that can extract power
from the medium, is only the one who has formed a contract. And so
Momon-san holding my grimoire cannot use it.”
“Is that so, a pity.”
Momon resisted the desire to click his tongue.
“Mah, there are many people that steal the magic inside the medium
though.”
“Is that so?”
“Eh.”
“. . . . . . If that is the case then I have no choice but to steal magic?”
“That is not true.” Ninya replied to Momon’s dangerous words with a
smile on his face. “You can buy scrolls with magic inside the Guild. And
you can use them to transfer mediums. And if you search, you can find
adventurers that would sell them at reasonable prices. Occasionally,
adventurers have a chance of holding onto rare or recently made magic
rather than the Guild.” “—-How many spells one can inscribe depends on one’s magical ability.
I can use 35 spells. I have learnt 20 from my master and have bought
15 others.”
↑ Web Novel Chapter 87: Despite having multiple disciples, Fluder had no clear successor. Since the position of Head Magic Caster was given by the Emperor, many tried to win is favour by doing notable jobs. However what his disciples truly wanted was Fluder's spellbook and equipment. Those would earn them the title of the best magic caster.↑ Volume 2 Chapter 2: "Magic doesn’t seem like the sort of thing you can learn in one or two days. Enslaved Demon King Theory:

That's the thread I translated with the Japanese boiz when they first struck on the notion the Demon God war was all a front. A work. Collusion.

I'll try to summarize what's important.

# First, in Volume 7 you learn Leader-kun, the Leader of the 13 Heroes killed his friend, a fellow Player.

>"If only we had preserved all of
Leader’s knowledge, things would not be so troublesome. He died too young."

>"It can’t be helped. He …killed a comrade (Player) he had spent his journey
with, and it got to him. I can understand why he’d decline the resurrection.
Rigrit, you were shocked too, right?"

[V7]

# Second, the Web Novel gave this hint, that is the Demon Gods were really NPCs for the Theocracy and 6 Great Gods

>Demon Gods: Beings that were sealed by the 13 Heroes. Existence that
could be known as the Demon Kings? The deities that once served the
Six Great God fell and became the Demon Gods?

>The god that can control fear, death and disease, normally he would be
considered an evil god. Most of the smaller gods he had as subordinates
would be quite wicked. But, weirdly he fell to the earth, and was not
a god that would freely spread vice. It anything, it was more like the
smaller gods belonged to other gods.
The reason why the people of this country worshipped this god which
could be called an evil god, was as to beg him to not bring down his
power of vice on them.

>“Tier 6. While you may not think it is amazing, but the most recent case
of being able to use it was 200 years ago. The ones known as the 13
Heroes. . . .Do you understand? The existence of the Tier 10 is unclear,
so the highest rank that humans can use is Tier 6. Well, the ones who
fought the 13 Heroes, the evil gods could use Tier 7 though. . . .”

[WN]

>He had heard how terrifying demons were. It was said that two hundred
years ago, a being known as the king of the demons — the Demon God
— had led demons under his banner, and had almost exterminated the
entire world.
The Demon God had met his end at the hands of the thirteen heroes
which vanquished him, and in a certain place it was still possible to see
traces of that battle.
[WN]

>“Could it be a noble predating the foundation of the Kingdom?”

>“You mean 200 years ago?”

>200 years ago, the Demon Gods laid waste to many countries. Around
here, there were few countries with a history of more than 200 years.
The Kingdom, Holy Kingdom, and the Empire was established
within the 200 years history.
[WN]

>“There, the Eight Fingers of Divanack do lots of business there.”
“Divanack? The Demon God of Corruption and Pleasure?”
Climb asked from the side.
Divanack was different from the Demon Gods the 13 Heroes defeated,
but was a Demon God, and ruled rotten desires. He was burned by the
Fire God, and locked in the Demon Realm.
The eight fingers he had, contained the meaning of the eight desires that
humans had.
[WN]

>The criminal organization which grew these drugs was known as Eight Fingers.
The name came from the eight-fingered God of Thieves who was a vassal
of the Earth God. [V6]

>"There’s quite a few human nations around here, like the Kingdom, the Holy
Kingdom, the Empire, and so on. But did you know, Gagaran? The further you
are from here, the fewer human-led nations there are. All of them are countries composed of demihumans or species that are superior to mankind. Did you know that some of them even trade in humans as slaves? The reason why
there aren’t any of those countries around here is because the Slaine Theocracy
has been going around and exterminating any demihumans that pop their
heads up."

>"Basically, all humans should think highly of the Theocracy. It’s true that they’re
ruthless, which is a demerit, but even so, nobody else has done more for mankind
as a whole …of course, whether or not someone the few they abandoned could
say the same thing is a different matter entirely. Besides, it’s quite likely that
they were the ones who founded the Adventurer’s Guild."

>"Seriously?"

>"Who knows? There’s no telling if it’s true or not, but the possibility is very
high. After all, the Adventurer’s Guild was founded after the battle with the
Demon Gods, when humanity’s strength had been greatly diminished. I suspect
they were preserving their power and wanted to aid the various nations
without causing friction, and thus they set up that organization."
[V6]

>The name of Six Arms came from the brother to the god of thieves, who had
six arms. That name referred to the strongest fighters of the Security Division.[V6]

>Nigun brought the crystal out in his trembling hand. His subordinates, usually
vigorous and nimble, were chained down by fear and their movements
were slow. Even these fearless men would hesitate when ordered to become
a shield against a monster like the one which stood before them. However, he
had to have them buy him some time, no matter what.
The magic sealed within the crystal could summon the most powerful angel
known to man. It was an angel that had single-handedly destroyed a Demon
God that rampaged throughout the land two hundred years ago. [V1]

>"No! Impossible! It cannot be! Nobody can be stronger than the highestplaced
of the angels! This is a being which can defeat a Demon God! In the
face of a foe that humanity cannot beat — it’s a bluff! It must be a bluff!"

>This angel of the highest order had once defeated the Demon Gods of legends.
Its omnipotent power was enough to qualify it as the mightiest being on the
continent. It was invincible.

>"I know it …I know your true identities! — Demon Gods! You must be Demon
Gods."

>There were scant few intelligent beings that Nigun knew of, which could stand
on par with the highest tier angels:
The Six Gods which Nigun believed in
The kings of the mighty draconic races —the Dragon Lords.
The legendary monster who could destroy an entire country —Landfall.
And one more —the Demon Gods.
He had heard that the Thirteen Heroes had defeated and sealed away the Demon
Gods. Judging by that wave of evil from just now, that must have been a
Demon God about to break its seal.
At the same time, Nigun had the faint hope that if they were Demon Gods, then
Dominion Authority might still have a chance to win.
[V1]

—Demon Gods …
Two hundred years ago, the Demon King that laid waste to the continent must
have been a creature like this.
200 years ago, several countries had been destroyed as the Demon Gods rampaged
throughout the land. It was not just human kingdoms which had been
devastated, but those of demihumans and heteromorphs. These ruined kingdoms
sometimes concealed priceless treasures; namely, magic items. Discovering
such things was arguably the dream of adventurers and Workers. [V7]

>Evileye was on Entoma’s level. If she had help, the tide might quickly turn
against her.
Thus, while Entoma was unwilling to deploy it, she decided to reveal her true
ace in the hole.
She had already used it once to exterminate everyone within the mansion in
one fell swoop, but she could still use it two more times.
It was the ability to exhale a cloud of carnivorous flies — [Fly Breath].
The flies expelled by the breath were like cattle flies. They did not eat flesh
in and of themselves, but they laid flesh-burrowing grubs. The grubs would
burrow into their victims’ bodies and cause damage over time to them. Worse,
once the larvae sprouted wings, they would become a choking swarm that
would attack anyone who entered their area of effect save certain individuals.
Entoma bared her throat, exposing her true face from where a human’s chin
would be. To an outsider, it would look like her jaw had split open,
With an awwwwrblargh, she vomited a mass of swarming flies.

>"You! Is that power connected to the Demon Gods? In that case—"

>"What on earth was that spell?"

>Evileye answered Tia’s question:

>"It’s an insect-killing spell, [Verminbane]. There was an insectile Demon God
among the Demon Gods 200 years ago. So I invented this spell to wipe out the
insects it summoned. Ah, well, it’s something like a unique creation."

...

>"...I couldn’t hurt him even with a spell enhanced with Penetrate Magic …?
This high-level demon is beyond my expectations, no, he might be beyond the
Demon Gods! Could he be the King of the Demon Gods?!"

>Just adding the word "Lord" to a name did not make a monster stronger,
but the more powerful members of a species often called themselves "Lords"
or "Kings". That was common knowledge in this world. Frankly speaking,
humans were the only species who would crown their weaker members as
kings.

[V6]

>The lizardmen did not know
And the world did not know
This was the first time such a magic was used in this world.
This was on par with the highest magic from 500 and 200 years before. [WN]

>Zaryusu had heard of demons during his travels.
He had heard of their fearsome nature. Apparently, two hundred years ago
there was a monster who was a king of demons — the Demon God, who rallied
demons to his banner and nearly destroyed the world.
The Demon God was finally defeated by the Thirteen Heroes, and the traces of
that battle could still be seen to this day. [V4]

"The fact is that many of the Thirteen Heroes were nonhumans. By the way,
they’re called the Thirteen Heroes, but there were more of them than that.
However, only 13 of them made it into song and story …the battle against the
Demon Gods was one that crossed all racial boundaries, and certain humancentric
people didn’t want to let the other species shine too much in the heroic
sagas."[V6]

>Since she lived like this all this time, Remedios was a spiritual oasis for Calca.

>"Umu. Such unbelievable power makes me think of the might of the Demon
Gods from the stories."

>"Nee-sama, even the Demon Gods weren’t this powerful. For all we know, Jaldabaoth
might be a being superior to the Demon Gods."
[V6]

>Olasird’arc glanced at the great door behind him.
Behind that door was the Dwarven City’s former treasury.
No matter how many times Olasird’arc had attacked it, it had not opened or
been destroyed. The protective magic worked on it by the Dwarven runesmiths
had defended their treasures from all the attacks he had brought to
bear on it.
His obsession with the contents of the vault had long faded, and that door was
little more than a scratching post for his claws. However, when he heard about
the Dwarves, the smoldering embers in his heart ignited once more.[V11]

>Gondo began searching again, and Ainz picked out several items which seemed
more magical than others.
"Hm? This is …?"
Among those items, Ainz discovered a sword.
It might well be the most magical item out of everything here.
"Umu …going by levels, it would be around level 50, then?"
It was long enough to be considered a longsword, and it was intricately decorated.
He was not sure if this was made in YGGDRASIL. But if it was an item of this
world, then its magical power would beggar belief. Ainz felt the body of the
sword. It was smooth and even.
"What a beautiful and exquisite sword. But there are no runes carved on it.
How could that be?"[V11]

>1. : The presence or absence of players. If there were none now, there
might still have been some around in the past.
2. : Further investigation of runes and related information. He did not
know enough about this topic. He had already learned quite a bit from
the runesmiths; runes had been around for a long time, but it was unclear
when exactly they had appeared and who had introduced them.
Part of the reason was the chaos of the Demon Gods’ attack, but Hejinmal’s
books did not contain any information on this, and neither did the
Treasury.
[V11]

>When the Demon Gods had rampaged through the Royal Capital, only one
member of the Dwarven royal family had survived. He was the last king of the
Dwarves, known as the "Runesmith King", and after taking powerful magic
items with him on his journey, there had been nothing left behind which could
be considered national treasures.
[V11]
================

This is multi-layered, but first let's address the main matter.

# Are the Demon Gods truly NPCs of the Theocracy?

The Web Novel suggested this, but it's best not to just accept it at face value. Well we see that in that canon at least the Demon Gods used Tier 7 magic and that there were other Demons like those the Fire God fought. However, ironicaly, it got retconned in the Light Novel so that the Gods associated with Eight Fingers and his brother appeared to be subordinates of one of the Gods, the Earth God instead. Likewise, in the WN, we know the God of Death had subordinates as well that seemed evil. This likewise ties into whoever Surshana's first follower is, as the ability to tell if Surshana has returned seems eerily close to the NPC aura ability.

>"And if Surshana-sama had actually descended once more, that person would
surely have told us. After all, that person is Surshana-sama’s first follower." [V10]

>Momonga had no idea of knowing this, but the denizens of the Great Tomb of
Nazarick, or rather, all of Ainz Ooal Gown’s servants radiated a certain aura
that the servants could sense in order to determine whether a stranger was
friend or foe. Within the guild, the aura of the Forty One Supreme Beings that
ruled Nazarick —now reduced to Momonga alone —was enough to tell them
that the one before them was their absolute ruler. They could sense his mighty
presence from a distance and they could not have mistaken Momonga for anyone
else, even through his full plate armor. They would have seen through
Momonga’s disguise immediately, regardless of how he arrived. [V1]

Shalltear knew what that meant. Despite herself, she looked over to the distance,
but she could not sense a presence.
”Is that the effect of the Master’s ring?”
One of the rings that Ainz wore would completely conceal him from all kinds
of divination-type magic. It was normally issued to all the guardians, but it
could also erase the presence of the ruler of the Great Tomb of Nazarick.
With a sense of regret for not being able to sense her master, Shalltear turned
her head back, and found that the human with a screw loose in his head had
vanished. [V6]

So lets just consider all this Light Novel information only. The Theocracy has someone that can identify a Player. One of the Demon Gods had an ability nearly identical to Entoma's special ability, the Fly Breath. The Earth God had subordinate beings, and by extension so did the God in the Theocracy he is derived from. Nigun says his Dominion Authority killed a Demon God and only the Six Great Gods, Eight Greed Kings, and Dragon Lords can compare to them.

This is later proved false, as we learn from Clementine that Godkin exist and are extremely powerful.

>"But really now, it’s impossible to get those artifacts After all, that antique
show is guarded by the strongest monster of the Black Scripture, that ancient
beast with the blood of the Six Gods that’s beyond the realm of humanity"

>"A God-Kin, huh …Is that fellow really that strong? I’ve only heard about it
from you."

>"It’s stronger than the idea of strength. The relevant information has been
sealed up, which is why you don’t know If someone who knew about it was
interrogated with mind-affecting magic, it would be really bad. I’ve heard that
if the secret got out, it’d lead to total war with the surviving true Dragon Lords,
which means the Slaine Theocracy would get destroyed in the crossfire, so I
hope you’ll pretend you never heard any of it"

>The man before her did not have much in the way of combat skills, but he
possessed superhuman physical abilities. As far as she knew, said abilities
were second only to those of the two God-Kin the Black Scripture’s Extra
Seat and its First Seat (who was also the Black Scripture’s leader). Therefore,
the way he swung his weapons at his whim became an unpredictable attack
and defense, and if she was not careful, she might be killed in a single blow. [V2]

>That man …is he strong?

>Shalltear was surprised and had no levels in dedicated warrior classes, so her
assessment of her opposition’s strength told her that he was not only stronger
than the Vampire Brides she had brought along, but stronger still than Solution,
the Pleiades battle maid.
Shalltear took a closer look at the man.
The gear he wore seemed to have been designed for use by a man, which was
why she had pegged him as a male, but he seemed quite androgynous in appearance.
She did not know if he was male or female, since he resembled both a man or
a woman, yet did not look like either. He was not very tall, and seemed quite
youthful. Perhaps he was still growing, which only made it harder to tell.
His hair was black and long, almost reaching the ground, while his keen eyes
had red pupils which regarded Shalltear with caution.
The spear-wielding man rushed at her just as she realized this and was about
to make her move.

>"Get lost!"

>Shalltear batted him aside with all her might. However, when subjected to a
strike that would pulverize a weak human being, the man was simply knocked
back and did not perish on the spot. In addition, his will to fight was still intact
despite being blown away.
[V3]

Clearly Nigun didn't know about Godkin since Shalltear pegs the Captain to be at least a Pleiades. Even the other Cardinals don't really know how strong they really are.

>Surely the most exalted of angels would be able to triumph over Death Knights
and Soul Eaters. However, the sheer number of foes made them very uneasy.
All eyes went to Raymond.
He chuckled. Some people smiled in response to his laughter, but those smiles
froze on their faces as they heard what he said next:

>"It’s impossible. I say this as a former 3rd Seat of the Black Scripture; anyone
who expects us to face 500 of them must be an absolute madman. It would
have been bad enough even if they were only present in equal numbers. No,
if not for this, why would Thousand Mile Astrologer have locked herself up in
despair? However …"

>The nature of his smile changed.

>"It’s different for the God-kin."

>"Ohh," went the sounds of rejoicing.

>"The two of them should be able to deal with an army of Death Knights and
Soul Eaters. Of course, just in case, we still need to give them the best backup
we can."

>"So it’ll be fine with those two." [V10]

=============================

So that brings us to some problems. As we know so far, the Thirteen Heroes defeated the Demon Gods, after they wiped out many nations, human and non-human. There are clear issues though, namely with two facets of this story.

1.) Platinum Dragon, a True Dragon Lord is strong as balls.

>Although this is a frequent misunderstanding, but how many in the New World
can attain victory over those in the Lv. 50s?
If it’s the case where the other party is a True Dragon Lord (Shin naru Ryuuou),
not even all members of Pleiades will be a match[/opponent]. [V5+6AT]

2.) The Theocracy not only has Dominion Authority, but also Godkin and a World Item that bypasses all mind control immunity.

Why in the hell did neither wipe out all the Demon Lords?

Here the LN didn't give us enough info. So let us posit some of the WN info. We know someone somewhere used Super Tier magic 200 years ago. We know that Leader-kun not only was a Player but used the Eight Greed King Guild Weapon. We also know the Demon Gods used Tier 7 magic mostly and may have been the NPCs gone rogue from the Six Great Gods.

Why would they go rogue 300 years after the last God or Player died though?

There is something seriously fishy about the exact details of this story, even if we declare all the WN information void. Look for example how Evileye describes that even the myth was altered to put humans in a good light in this region and how they formed the Adventure's Guild supposedly to provide aid to these nations. What does that suggest? Well, that is the Theocracy had not only the power to help other nations but wasn't as devastated at all by the Demon Gods.

====================================

If you have followed me so far, this is where the mind trip starts.

>The Slane Theocracy is a champion of justice for human beings. In the case a
human goes to the world of Overlord, the Theocracy is the best!
One can even make a harem (though other races are excluded)!
Don’t try to brainwash collaborators! [V7AT]

Hmmm....

>"The power of the gods, Downfall of Castle and Country, will probably not
work on that fellow who can use wild magic, unlike with the Catastrophe Dragon
Lord. How about using it on the Sorcerer King?"

>Silence descended over the meeting room. It was a proposal that they were
thinking, but could not speak.

>"...It’s not a bad idea, but the fact that we don’t know what sort of power the
Sorcerer King’s subordinates possess makes me uneasy."

>"...If only it could charm without limit, there would be no problems."

>"Then, back to the topic. We are all against using Downfall of Castle and Country
on the Sorcerer King?"

>"It’s too dangerous."

>"If the Catastrophe Dragon Lord appears, we could control it and use it as a
vanguard …"
[V10]

NANI!? They'd use it on someone to use them as a meat shield... but they didin't just make the Demon Gods fall apart one by one... despite having Angels strong enough to oppose them and even God-kin?

Look at all the facts again.

The Theocracy preserved their power after the Demon God war and had a trump card that was unstoppable one-on-one and could be used to sabotage the Demon Gods over and over or just make them kill themselves. Yet, despite that all, it was not the Theocracy who saved the world, despite other human nations being destroyed...

Now look at Platinum Dragon Lord. He's a True Dragon Lord and he should have been able to wipe the Demon Gods pretty much alone. Yet, why did he pretend to be one of the 13 Heroes in a suit of armor?

Are you seeing it now? Why did neither of these sides just solve the problem when they should have been able to? Even if the lrod of the Demon Gods was a Player, unless he had a World Item, the Theocracy could have stopped him.

Now ask yourself, why did Leader-kun, some cliche LN protagonist who saved the world and led a multi racial army kill a fellow Player? And it was a friend who made him feel heart broken enough to not want to resurrect to atone for his actions.

Just go out on a limb, and look at the Demon Gods we do know, one had YGGDRASIL type abilities like Entoma. And in the WN info, we know they used Tier 7 magic and could have been fallen NPCs.

So lets presume these Demon Gods have that backstory. If they really fell, why did the Theocracy not only come out mostly unscathed, but couldn't Downfall them into submission? Did they have no God-kun at all in that period? Did they not have enough Angels?

Why did cliche Good Guy Leader-kun kill his buddy?

The Dwarves got attacked and had Royalty and Ainz found a Level 50 sword, their armory was strong enough to protecct against a Level 45, and all the good items weren't even there anymore. So what's up with that?

================================

All of that considered, the Japanese as you saw, came upon a conjecture, that explains not only why the Theocracy didn't solve the issue, why PDL was cautious, but also why they came out with enough power to help others.

# The Theocracy used their NPCs to do an Operation Gehenna 200 years ago.

The Jaldaboath or Demon King was a Player they enslaved with their World Item, as they have no reservations considering it's use on Ainz, a pretty much confirmed Player to them.

Now look at the Cardinal meeting and the God-kin in Volume 10 and Volume 4. Neither ever bring up the possibilty that these mysterious beings might be Demon Gods that became unsealed. Yet Nigun did. Of course, we knwo the Demon Gods are not that powerful, but why didn't they consider Jaldaboath or Momon to be weaker than Players and around their common sense of Demon Gods?

If this conjecture is true, the Player they could have enslaved was Leader-kun's friend, the one he came with and the one he had to kill to save the world, and the one who put him in a bad mental state after this. So not only did they destroy nations they didn't like, they escaped the blame, and even ended up making the Players 200 years ago become non-issues, besides whatever Boastful Sage ended doing.

This conjecture certainly answers a lot of questions. Why the Theocracy didn't act to protect human nations. Why PDL was cautious as he likely recognized some Demon Gods. Why Leader-kun killed his friend. Also why the higher ups who know everything don't think for a moment Jaldaboath might be related to the Demon Gods or a new wave of Demon Gods etc. And most of all, why the NPCs didn't rampage until 300 years after they lost their god. Also it attributes Super Tier magic used 200 years ago to this Demon King and further motivates them destroying nations to power level the Demon King rather than rule or control nations like Jaldaboath did.

Hence, the genesis of the Enslaved Demon God theory. The Theocracy used a Player to purge other races, destroy nations at their whims, and they remained innocent through at all this as the blame falls on that Player not them. Yet they benefit in the end by filling the power vacuum. We see how their faith spread to the human nations and how they use them to leverage their mission in Volume 10.

So if you are genre savvy or trope literate like the Japanese fans they brought up the ones that support this:

Corrupt Church- See Berserk. Hellsing. D-Gray Man. Attack on Titan. Maoyuu Maou Yuusha.

Enslaving or manipulating people summoned from another world:  How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord. Arifuretta. Konjiki no Moji Tsukai.

===========================================

That good enough? It may sound like a conspiracy theory, but if you look at what evidence is present, LN only or even WN info too, it explains why those weird points happened (Theocracy coming out mainly unscathed  and PDL didn't solo the Demon Gods), why the Theocracy didn't question their World Item would work on a Player but not PDL, why Leader killed his friend, and that mind control line from Maru in his author thoughts.

Make of the conjecture or theory as you will.

==========================================

Eiclair's official name: エクレア   エクレール    エイクレアー

エクレア      Ekurea       English Translation: Eclair

エクレール   Ekureera    English Translation: Eclair

エイクレアー Eikureaa    This is the only one that is funky but if you pronounce it as written it sounds less Engrish than the other two.

I don't where you got EggLayer from other than an old translation. It doesn't really make sense since he's a boy and phonetically none of his names are close to that. reiya would be Layer as seen in other titles like Ninja Slayer, Slayer from GG, and so on. Egg would be エグッ or エぐっ and you can see Eiclair doesn't have that in any of his names. The first two are beyond a doubt Eiclair, just written differently. So if you want to presume Egglayer is the last name, it lacks the Gu sound and doesn't even have the Japanese word for Egg either.

>Also regarding translations, I understood it to be a lot of phonetic translations done wrong.

Eh? Those translation theories come from the Japanese NOT the English fans. You can see it easier in Japanese and those theories exist because Maru has made dumb mispronunciations part of the story before. He confirmed 3 of them to in fact be in story mispronounciations (Level up, Sebas, and Guild Weapon).
